In an e-learning environment that lacks the immediacy of physical interaction, real and quick communication becomes profoundly important. 1on1LMS has you covered here, with automated notifications for any kind of event (user registration, grades posted, etc.), as well as custom on-demand messages to any user or group. Notifications are sent to their recipients as emails, which means that any web, desktop or mobile mail client can be used to read them. To edit a notification follow the steps below.
Step 1: visit the Notifications section by selecting 'Notifications' on the main admin panel. There you will see the full list of currently defined
Notifications and you can edit any of them.
Step 2: click on the 'Edit mode' option to edit a notification. A form will be displayed where you have to select the recipients (which can be individual users, administrators, course professors, etc.), the exact time to send the notification when the event is triggered a subject (title) and a body of the notification, which is the message that will be shown to the recipients. You can define different subjects and bodies for end users (user causing the notification) and any other possible recipients.
1. Recipients: Choose who receives your notification when triggered.
2. Subject: Create a title for your notification.
3. Language option: We have the option to create different messages for each language group (English, French, etc students).
4. Use keywords that will be automatically filled in by the LMS, such as the date/time, the recipient's name, etc. This works the same as Word/Excel “mail merge” function, in case you’re familiar with that.
